QVCOG Board of Directors accepted the final report of the Emergency Management Study Committee at its May 15, 2019 meeting. The report, prepared by Allegheny County Emergency Services, outlined the status of the 9 participating municipalities compliance with required training, functions and other coordinator activities. Additionally, the report contained the results of the Committee's 3 working meeting and survey, which informed recommendations made to the Board of Directors as next steps and to report to their home municipalities. The recommendations included sub-regional groups continue to meet to expand emergency management coordination. The 3 subgroups were: (a) Bellevue and Avalon (b) Ben Avon, Emsworth and Kilbuck, (c)Aleppo, Glenfield, Glen Osborne, Haysville, and the groups will handle their own agendaes, with additional support to be provided by Allegheny Emergency Services.
