QUAKER VALLEY COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS REQUEST FOR BIDS For the collection, disposal, and processing of municipal solid waste, residential solid waste, recyclable materials, household hazardous waste, and electronic waste on behalf of the participating member municipalities, as follows: · Aleppo Township · Avalon Borough · Bellevue Borough · Ben Avon Borough · Edgeworth Borough · Emsworth Borough · Glen Osborne Borough · Glenfield Borough · Kilbuck Township · Leet Township · Sewickley Borough Sealed bids are invited and will be received by the Quaker Valley Council of Governments on behalf of the above referenced municipalities for collection, disposal, and processing of municipal solid waste, recyclable materials, household hazardous waste, and electronic waste for a five (5) year term beginning January 1, 2022 and ending December 31, 2026. The Quaker Valley Council of Governments will furnish copies of the Bid Packet to prospective bidders which may be obtained by visiting qvcog.org or by emailing [email protected]. Bids must be made on the provided bid forms and in accordance with instructions to bidders furnished by the Quaker Valley Council of Governments. Failure to do so will disqualify the bid. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on July 2, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. at the Kilbuck Township Building (343 Eicher Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237). All interested bidders are mandated to attend. One original and two copies of the Bid and attachments must be delivered to, and be on file with the Quaker Valley Council of Governments, 343 Eicher Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237 on or before July 22, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. The envelope containing the bid must be sealed and plainly marked “Quaker Valley Council of Governments bid for residential collection, disposal, and processing of municipal solid waste, recyclable materials, household hazardous waste, and electronic waste”. Bids will be publicly opened and read at 11:00 a.m. on July 22, 2021 at the aforementioned address. A bid bond in favor of the Quaker Valley Council of Governments Participating Municipalities shall be submitted in the amount of 10% of the five-year total combined cost for all services and options for the participating municipalities, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The participating member municipalities reserve the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities and/or informalities in any bid, to waive any technicalities, or any portion of any bid for any reason whatsoever, and to make an award in any manner, consistent with law, deemed in the best interest of the municipalities.
