Quaker Valley Council of Governments is pleased to announce Kelly Kochamba Wesolosky will Keynote the 2019 Annual Dinner on October 16, 2019. Mrs. Wesolosky is the Community Outreach Specialist for the FBI Pittsburgh Field Office. She is the primary liaison between the FBI Pittsburgh Division and the Private, Public and Non-Profit Business Sectors of the Pittsburgh Region. Mrs. Wesolosky’s current Community Outreach extends to various ethnic and non-profit sectors of the Pittsburgh area, including, but not limited to the Asian, Turkish, Hispanic, Jewish, and African American Communities, as well as various non-profits focused on families, schools, at-risk youth, Special Olympics of Western PA, Big Brother, Big Sister of Greater Pittsburgh, and various other area non-profit groups. Mrs. Wesolosky oversees the annual FBI Citizens Academy, an eight week hands-on inside look at the FBI programs and priorities, bringing together a cross section of local business and community leaders. This program, currently in its 19th year, has over 900 area graduates, and is geared to not only demystify the FBI from what is portrayed on film and television, but also to create and build new lasting relationships with the community for working together to combat crime by joint efforts through the FBI Pittsburgh Division Citizens Academy Alumni Association. Other programs under Mrs. Wesolosky’s supervision include: the HOPE (Heroin Outreach Prevention and Education) Initiative, a program designed to educate our youth and communities on the dangers of Rx Opioid abuse and Heroin use, the Teen Academy Program (beginning Fall of 2019), and the FBI Pittsburgh Big in Blue Program. Mrs. Wesolosky received Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and Spanish from Ohio University, an MBA in Human Resource Management and a Masters of International Business in Corporate Development from the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business. She is fluent in Spanish, and has worked abroad in both Latin America and Europe. Previous assignments include Mérida, México and Barcelona, Spain. The QVCOG Annual Dinner brings together members of the QVCOG community for fellowship and learning.
