Allegheny County is seeking input from municipal officials (i.e. staff, elected officials, planning commissions, zoning hearing boards, etc.) for their initiative to update the existing comprehensive plan. The current plan establishes a vision for the County’s future and provides a framework for decision making and cross-collaboration. It is a tool for finding solutions to problems and needs, pursuing opportunities, and enhancing the lives of residents. The updated plan will seek to answer questions like: What are the County’s priorities? What can the County affect directly? What can the County affect indirectly?
