The QVCOG Annual Dinner returned on October 18, 2017 at Cafe Notte in Emsworth with a strong showing of member municipalities, sponsors, and community leaders.
Cub Scout Pack 243 lead the gathering of approximately 80 in the Pledge of Allegiance to get the event started. Don Carter, of the Carnegie Mellon Remaking Cities Institute engaged the audience in a presentation and discussions of lessons learned from our region's post-industrial transformation and what we can do to position ourselves for the best possible future. Jean-Sesbastien Valois, Kilbuck Supervisor and QVCOG President, further brought that discussion to level of specificity about our specific QVCOG communities. We honored individuals whose public service is completing and conducted a fund-raiser for the Houston-Galveston Area Council. The evening wrapped with with the traditional door prizes and announcement of the 50-50 winner. Click here to see photos from the evening. The event was made possible through the support of many.
